Short Backfire Antenna
Product Overview
This radar array antenna is a custom-developed product designed specifically for a research institute. The system adopts a monopulse tracking architecture to track unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The entire array consists of four S-band short backfire elements, each employing a crossed dipole structure, which enables dual circular polarization while maximizing port isolation to minimize mutual coupling between elements. In addition, by using a special element arrangement technique, the array effectively suppresses sidelobes, further improving the antenna’s tracking accuracy and overall performance.
